Jeep Tour was created in 1992 to take
participants of the ECO92 to visit the largest urban forest
in the world - The Tijuca Rain Forest. From there on, we
continue showing and teaching the possibility of having
tourism together with nature preservation. To have a better
look of the contrast between luxurious condos and the slams,
we visit the Rocinha district, the largest slam in South
America with approximately 150 thousand inhabitants. By
satisfying the curiosity of the tourists, we visit a demanding
community and develop a social work in a marginal area,
birth place of Carnival and source of man power labor to
the city (taxi and bus drivers, door men, maids, handy men,
etc), enabling a major contact with the Brazilian people
roots.
